Grizelian tells you, The Spell of Pathfinding is a very ancient and complex spell. We will need to gather several specific ingredients to power the magic. First we will need a source of dimensional energy. In order to transcribe the path, the spell will draw on this energy to obtain a fix on the location we wish to discover, in this case the Rift, in space and time. Unfortunately when it comes to dimensional magic, we of the living races are but dabblers. Only the Withered Aegis arcanists manipulate the energies we need.

Grizelian tells you, If you are quick, or talented, you might be able to capture some of this energy without fighting the undead legions. I will prepare several gemstones to hold the energies, and you will take them to locations where the undead have employed their powerful dimensional magic against us. These gemstones need to be of the highest quality so that I may adequately shape them for our task. Please bring me 10 uncut rubies, 10 uncut sapphires and 10 uncut diamonds.

Grizelian tells you, Ah, yes we now have all the gemstones, <player>. I will shape the gemstones into focuses for the dimensional energies you must harness. I must shape these in peace, please give me time to mediate and transmute in solitude.

Grizelian tells you, There, the focuses are ready. Now, I have an idea of where you might find the energies you need for our Spell of Pathfinding. Many years ago the Withered Aegis captured the island homes of the Satyr and enslaved them with powerful crystals. These crystals also acted as a channel for dimensional magic, allowing the Withered Aegis to call in their foul creations to stand against the living races.
