Amtoo Fruthak was sent on a mission to investigate an ancient fortress on the Trandalaran coast. He perished in a terrible blizzard and was not able to complete the mission. That fortress has been defiled and he wishes you to help cleanse it!
Quest text[edit]
Amtoo tells you, <player>, I am trapped here, you see, my spirit bound to this place where I perished. The blizzard came upon me so quickly I could not prepare! I failed, traveler. Failed to return home and warn the others of the darkness that was beginning to consume the land.
Amtoo tells you, The Withered Aegis you say? I do not know that name, but the undead I do know! Centuries ago they began to rise here on Trandalar, in the places where the Trandalarans, my ancestors, once tread. East of my grave you will find an ancient fortress, <player>. Once, long ago, it was the refuge of Trandalarans returning from raids far to the south.
Amtoo tells you, The fortress was also a place of mystical power because of the stones nearby. The stones and the fortress have been defiled! <player>, help me complete my mission. Venture east to the refuge and destroy the raiders that have infested the region.
Amtoo tells you, Yes, I heard the wails of the dead and felt the passing of their twisted spirits into the beyond. Well done, <player>!

- Listen to the Spirit, Amtoo
- Defeat twelve (12) Trandalaran Raiders
- Return to the Spirit of Amtoo at his Camp
