Quest text[edit]
Entering the tiny protected valley, you see what appears to be the dry bed of an old spring near the far wall. Dust from the parched and cracked earth begins to blow and swirl as you approach, stinging your eyes and coating your teeth. When the dust settles, you see a piece of parchment slightly exposed from the ground. You reach down to pull it up, and the dirt falls away from it easily, as if giving it up to you willingly..

Sindenis tells you, Many were sent to tame or defeat him, but all challengers fell to his might. So often did this happen, that he became paranoid of everyone. Even the woman he had once loved. He accused her of conspiring with those that were trying to kill him. In truth, never once did she try to hurt him. On the contrary, she believed that if she continued to love him and care for him, that she could help bring him back from the edge of madness. He could not be made to believe her though, and one night, he struck her down too. This had a profound effect on him.

The techniques he describes are mind-boggling, but they certainly do seem to relate to the steps on the other scroll you found. I should be able to make some more progress with this new scroll. Sindenis tells you, His own actions drove him further into his downward spiral. Paranoid, desperate, and achingly alone, he continued to slay anyone who came near him. At last, he fled from the towns and went to wander the wilderness, keeping away from everyone. It is during this time of solitude that it is said he finally began to come to his senses. Everything he had done had come to weigh heavily upon him as his mind slowly cleared.
Sindenis tells you, This clue describes a large tree, found in a forest. 'Under the canopy of the forest, among the mushrooms and leaves, I found a great tree. It had been there for so long, yet it never gave up it's own secrets. I knew it would not give up mine.'

- Triggers at 28097/25109(map), northwest of Harro or southwest from Eastern Outpost.
- Bring the scroll back to Sindenis so she can study the information within.
