Hint for the fourth Burning Archer Scroll

Quest text[edit]

Despite the searing heat and the choking, blinding ash, you are somehow able to see the tree before you. As you approach the tree, you notice that the bark is not as scorched as you would expect. In fact, the tree isn't really scorched at all. Examining the ground near the foot of the tree, you discover a small hallow underneath it. Peering in, you see the end of a tube of paper, also miraculously unburnt. Carefully, you place it in your backpack..

You have received 1 The Fourth Burning Archer Scroll.

Sindenis tells you, Did you find the tree <player>? Was the scroll there? It was? Incredible! Please, let me see what this scroll says. Such power it must contain to keep a tree safe in such an inhospitable region, especially so close to lava! I wonder where the fifth scroll will be?

Sindenis tells you, The Elders recoiled and dropped to the ground, while every skilled warrior in the crowd leapt forward to attack him. In the same instant they did so, he pointed his bow at the heavens and unleashed the largest salvo ever witnessed. As his arrows screamed skyward, he dropped to his knees, bowed his head, and waited to be struck down. The surrounding warriors stepped back in shock, not knowing what was happening. Some of the Elders lifted their eyes to look upon the Archer again, not understanding why they were still alive. They saw him just long enough for him to find their gaze and whisper 'I am beyond forgiveness.' Then, mere seconds after it began, the entire incident was over.

Sindenis tells you, Some claimed to have seen a single tear roll down the Archer's cheek the moment his own arrows annihilated him. Others say the claim was later added as an embellishment, though if one knows the full story, it cannot be completely discounted. Nevertheless, the legend states that his parchments are still hidden somewhere in Istaria. And there ends the tale, <player>. Thank you for listening.

Sindenis tells you, This clue is strange. It speaks of orange stones and the sea. 'I followed the short path all the way up to the crest of the hill. Reaching the end of it, I immediately turned North and peered over the cliff's edge. I jumped down to the point of an overlook, where I saw fields of orange stones below me, stretching to the narrow sea. I lingered there, taking in the beautiful view, until the shadow of the great tower far to the North, grew long. There, I left an ugly memory behind, to forever be forgotten, so that I might replace it with this more beautiful one.'

A great tower? It sounds like he is referring to the Towers of Magic, but which one is near the sea and orange stones?

You have received 1 Hint for the fifth Burning Archer Scroll.
