Several members of the Order of Rangers who watch and protect both Feladan and Feladan Forest have been injured trying to explore the deep parts of Selen Forest. Ranger-Captain Taurorond is offering a bounty to locate and slay the beast known as Mani the Dire Wolf.
Quest text[edit]
Calimir tells you, Ah, good, you have returned. I have received disturbing news about the Dire Wolves in the Selen Forest and as we're short-handed right now I was hoping you might be able to assist us. It involves the forest and a particularly large dire wolf. But you'll want to speak with Ranger Captain Taurorond over near the bank.
Taurorond tells you, Yes? Calimir sent you did he? And I take it you are a Ranger? Hm. Not the most presentable, but perhaps you will suffice. Did Calimir mention the Dire Wolves to you? That is good. Yes, the problem is with the Dire Wolves. You have hunted them by now, else Calimir would not have sent you. But have you ventured deep into the forest?
Taurorond tells you, My Rangers have and some of them have been grievously injured by what they described as the largest Dire Wolf they'd ever seen. Larger even than the alphas that are spotted throughout the forest! The Rangers on the Watch have begun calling the beast, Mani, for it is fierce and deadly.
Taurorond tells you, Ah but you are wondering why I have brought this dire wolf up, yes? Well, with Rangers injured and the rest patrolling the borders of Feladan Forest, I do not have enough hands to spare to track down this beast and kill it. So I am asking you to do our dirty work for us. <player>, track down this beast, kill it, and return here with its head as proof of the deed. I have been authorized to give you a bounty for it and I dare say it is significant. Good hunting!
Taurorond tells you, Bark and branch! The Head! Well done, <player>, well done indeed. As promised, here is the bounty. And you have the thanks of the Order of Rangers and the People of Feladan.

- Speak with Ranger-Captain Taurorond about the Dire Wolves
- Listen to the Ranger-Captain
- Kill Mani the Dire Wolf who roams Selen Forest
- Return with Mani the Dire Wolf's head to Ranger-Captain Tauroron in Feladan
