Lore tells you, Welcome to the Summer Festival! This festival is a celebration of Pax Istaria, commemorating the signing of The Great Peace Accords which brought all the Living Races of Istaria together. We have representatives of most every race in Istaria here assisting with the Festival. Almost every race, that is. For example, we had a Sslik.
Lore tells you, Yes, unfortunately the person we'd hired to sell Festival Tickets quit when he saw the Official Summer Festival shirt. He simply walked off muttering something about how no self respecting Sslik would wear a blue shirt, or something like that. You know how difficult it is to understand them sometimes, what with all the "ssss" sounds. But no matter. We'll have our festival anyway. You will just have to earn your tickets this year if you want to participate.
Lore tells you, Yes, that's what I said. Earn your tickets. You can earn Festival Tickets by running the maze that has been set up to the south just south of town. The Keeper of the Maze has two quests for you. You'll need the tickets if you wish to participate in the raffle or seek your fortune from the fortune teller within the maze. There are many other things for you to do at the Festival as well.
Lore tells you, There is a petting zoo in town this year that I've heard has some unique creatures. And there's a firepit set up in the center of town for the Gifted to gather around and tell stories, though you may have to build the fire yourself. Oh, and don't forget to visit the Commissioner and his wife at their home just north of town. I'm sure that they would love to hear from you and know how you are enjoying the Festival!
