Giltelkh the Alchemist organized an expedition to this remote island on Aradoth because of a rare plant that grows here. He has come here to honor her memory by creating a potion she wrote about in her journal.
Quest text[edit]
Giltekh tells you, There is but one last step to the making of Niesa's Rub, <player>. Every potion requires three ingredients, a catalyst, a medium, and a container to hold it. You've helped me gather one ingredient, the Vilitis Bulb which I processed into a pulp, and the catalyst, Frozen Essence, which I turned into orbs.
Giltekh tells you, I have water and vials aplenty, but there is one ingredient I am still missing, Frozen Carapaces. Fortunately for us they can be acquired from the Vikinos Beetles that roam the island. Go gather a supply of them for me.
You've collected sufficient carapaces for Giltekh!.
Giltekh tells you, Yes, these will suffice for our purposes! Quality of the carapace is of little concern for us since we will be turning them into dust. Now, to add the dust to the mixture and bring it to a rolling boil.
Giltekh tells you, Yes, yes! *he ladles some of the boiling mixture into a vial and hands it to you* Give it a try, <player>! You are my first test subject. I daresay it should be sufficiently potent. *he frowns* I hope the quantities are correct, otherwise it might kill you. Or perhaps turn you into a hideous beast. *he flips through the small journal and mutters to himself* Hard to say... hm.

- Loot six (6) Frozen Carapaces from the Vikinos Beetles that roam the Island of Ice.
- Return to Giltekh at the Expedition Camp with the Frozen Carapaces.
- Talk to Giltekh.
