There's been an attack on the barricades near the Imperial Army Camp. Sergeant Andoraith is in charge and needs help caring for the wounded and preparing for future attacks.

Quest text

Andoraith tells you, Seeing to the defenses will be key to withstanding another assault should one occur, <player>. There are two issues I feel we must address.

What are those?

Andoraith tells you, First, the barricade was hastily built and I worry that another attack might cause it to collapse. I need you to procure some wooden beams from the lumberyard. Speak to the lumberjack and he'll let you know what you need to do.

You said there were two issues?

Andoraith tells you, Yes, I was just getting to it. The second issue is that weapons are broken or lost during combat. If we are to be prepared for the next assault we must have quality weapons. Head back up to the camp and speak to the Quartermaster about some more spears.

Is that it?

Andoraith tells you, That will do for now, <player>. Twelve wooden beams from the lumberjack and twenty spears from the Quartermaster. Got it?

Mathoor tells you, The battle and the Welger are far away, just the way I like it. Just the birds, trees, wind and my trusty axe. What brings you up here, Paladin?

I need wooden beams for the barricade.

Mathoor tells you, Oh, oh! That is just my type of challenge. As you can see, however, I don't have any beams made nor do I have any wood ready to cut into beams. Perhaps you could collect some for me?

Gather logs?

Mathoor tells you, Exactly. But not any log. They need to be of sufficent quality to create qualitative beams. There are some Iron Oak Trees around there: cut down twelve logs from them for me and then I'll shape them into the beams you need.

Mathoor tells you, Excellent. Yes, these will be just fine. Give me some time to get them all shaped up.

Mathoor seems to have finished the wooden beams.

Mathoor tells you, Here we are, <player>. Twelve wooden beams that will be more than sufficient to reinforce the barricade. Let me know if the army needs anything else! I'm here and my axe is sharp!

Andoraith tells you, Bortak, that snake! Always cutting corners. These spears are likely to break the first time they hit anything.

Andoraith tells you, Nothing, I'm afraid. He's the quartermaster and my duty is to defend the barricade. The fools. Fortunately there are extras, we'll need them. You have my thanks, <player>.

Steps

• Listen to Sergeant Andoraith
• Speak to the Mathoor the Lumberjack east of the Imperial Army Camp about Wooden Beams for the barricade
• Gather twelve (x12) Iron Oak Logs for Mathoor the Lumberjack (you must use an Istarian Army Knife or Dragon Intuition ability)
• Return to Mathoor the Lumberjack with the Oak Logs
  • Mathoor crafts the wooden beams, wait for them.
• Speak to Mathoor the Lumberjack about the Wooden Beams
• Speak to Quartermaster Bortak at the Imperial Army Camp about more spears for the soldiers
• Return to Sergeant Andoraith at the barricade below the Imperial Army Camp with the Spears and Wooden Beams
