As your first real task as a Lairshaper, Relstaroth intends to have you create the first set of resources that you will use to begin building your own lair.
Quest text[edit]
Relstaroth tells you, "<player>, you appear ready to learn the secrets to creating the actual resources needed to construct a lair. The items are quite varied in their sourcing, and harken back to the core of what we are; unpredictable and powerful like primal energy, resilient like the earth, strong like metal, and beautiful like crystals and gems. There are two types of products that you will use... First Step and Second Step products. The First Step is what you will be learning today. These products are Imbued Bars, Excoriation of Earth, and Primal Essence.
Relstaroth tells you, Let us get started. Imbued Bars are made from Bronze Bars and are 'imbued' with essence. We will be using Dim Essence Orbs in this case. Imbued Bars create structural pieces in lairs, firming up walls and ceilings. You will find they are one of the more common units used in lairshaping. Take this formula, scribe it, and then use your new knowledge and create six (6) Imbued Bronze Bars. Bring them to me for inspection when you are ready.
Relstaroth tells you, Good, good, you are becoming adept at following simple direction. These look to be fairly well made, <player>. You may have some potential for this afterall! I will leave you with these bars so that you may use them and learn to apply them directly to your lair."
Relstaroth tells you, The next resource I will teach you to craft is called an Excoriation of Earth. An excoriation is a layer of stone and metal that is abraded and scored, and then laid down on the floor of the lair. Take this formula and scribe it. Use this new knowledge and create six (6) Weak Excoriations of Earth. Return to me when you have completed this.
Relstaroth tells you, Well done, <player>. These appear to be well made indeed, you are learning quickly. I will leave these excoriations with you so that you may use them in building your own lair.
Relstaroth tells you, The final task I have for you presently is to learn the craft of making Primal Essence. Primal Essence is an azulye crystal that has been imbued with the energy of essence. It is a common lairshaping resource, primarily used to reinforce walls as the essence bonds with the crystal making it much stronger and less brittle. Take this formula. After scribing it, use it to create six (6) Primal Essence of Melding. Return to me when you have done so.
Relstaroth tells you, Well met, <player>. You have completed the task I set you more quickly than I expected. This is good. It reveals your initiative and desire. Both are key traits for becoming a master lairshaper! I will let you keep this primal essence for use in your lair.
Relstaroth tells you, These are all the tasks I have for you at this time, <player>. You have done well and now have the knowledge necessary to create the first set of lairshaping resources. Take this new knowledge and practice it where you can. You will find that you have much to learn that can only be taught to you by experience in applying your crafted resouces. There is far more to gain by direct application than simply crafting the raw materials. So practice. Practice hard! Return to me when you are ready to take the next step in our noble craft.
