Giltekh the Master Alchemist was so pleased with the results of the first potion by his lost love, Niesa, that he has decided to try making another one.

Giltekh tells you, The ingredients you gathered turned out to be just right, <player>. Once processed the mixture turned the proper color and we're ready to move on. However, I have a bit of a problem you see. *he waves Niesa's Journal about wildly*
Giltekh tells you, The ink... it is smudged! I cannot read what the catalyst for the recipe was! This is not good. Without the proper catalyst we could blow the entire island up if we aren't careful. Without the proper catalyst who knows what might happen... *he slams the journal down and starts muttering angrily*
Giltekh tells you, *Finally, he straightens back up and composes himself* Well, <player>, I suppose we'll just have to take the risk and find a proper catalyst ourselves. A bit of deduction might help us here. The ingredients both came from the Island of Fire, so their inherent elemental property is also fire.
Giltekh tells you, So, we can assume that the catalyst will likely also be of that elemental type. Unless of course she went with the opposite element. That would create a powerful reaction! *he rubs his chin*
Giltekh tells you, No, I suspect that might create too powerful a reaction or even cause the very explosion I am worried about. Let's try something from the Island of Fire, <player>. We will need Flame-Imbued Shining Essence Orbs. I don't care how you get them, but they should serve well as a catalyst.
Giltekh tells you, Excellent. Yes, these look to be of the correct purity and consistency. I will try them at once, <player>. You have my thanks!
Steps[edit]
- Talk to Giltekh about possible catalysts.
- Return to Giltekh on the Island of Ice when you have collected (by any means) eight (8) Flame-Imbued Shining Essence Orbs for Giltekh's Potion Recipe.
- Giltekh sells the Expert Imbued Essence Orb formular for that purpose. You will need Flame Essence and Shining Essence Orbs to create them yourself. You do not need to create those on your own to update the quest.
