Niesa, once a famed Alchemist, was enslaved by the Withered Aegis for many years. You came to her aid and created a potion that destroyed the Slave Bonds that tied her spirit to the Cabal. However, she remains one of the undead and now she fears retribution by her enslaver. Now you seek the whereabouts of the creature who imprisoned her. Your search has led you to Harro and back, but you must go to the Eastern Outpost in search of clues.

Quest text[edit]

Niesa tells you, I have an idea, <player>. Return to Harro and speak with the Captain who fought against Falgut. He may have an idea of how to counteract the effects of Falgut's aura.

Terry tells you, Welcome back, <player>. You can find no way to counteract the aura? I feared that might be the case. Do not worry, all is not lost! I have faith that you will find a way.

Terry tells you, Since we last spoke I have been giving this predicament serious thought and I believe I may have a lead for you. Some months ago a Dragon came to me and asked many questions regarding Falgut, the location of his Tower, and in particular his aura of power.

Terry tells you, I answered him truthfully as I did you, but I thought nothing more of it. What could a Dragon do that the greatest military minds could not? We laughed it off and promptly put it from our minds.\n

Terry tells you, Then a week or two later, a trader came from the Eastern Outpost and mentioned a new BattleMaster. It was the very same Dragon who came to Harro! The trader also mentioned that this BattleMaster was an accomplished Crystalshaper, a rare profession indeed these days.

Terry tells you, I found it interesting, but thought little more of it until you came. It wasn't until you had left that I remembered that original meeting and discussion. I am sorry for that, <player>. I believe this Dragon could help you, that a solution to Falgut may lie with the Dragons and, in particular, a Crystalshaper.

Trikoz tells you, Greetings to you, <player>. What brings you before me this day? Falgut the Slaver? Yes, I have heard of this foul beast. He has enslaved many over the years. Slaves... *ptah* A nasty business, they are. We Dragons once held the Living Races as slaves. Some of my people still wish it were so, I am afraid. Perhaps even some of the Gifted, yes?

Trikoz tells you, Myself, I prefer cooperation. We can accomplish much more together than we can apart or at the threat of fire or claws. Do not mistake me, <player>, I believe we are much more suited to lead and make the decisions than the naka'duskael are... I simply think they should be allowed to agree or disagree with our decisions of their own accord.

Trikoz tells you, You seek a way to counteract his power, do you? I have an idea that may serve you well. I am a BattleMaster, <player>, but in recent years I have become a learned Crystalshaper. Emotions are our currency and we use them to create powerful crystals that can be used in battle.

Trikoz tells you, However, there are things other than emotions that can be harnessed... states, philosophies and so forth. They are much more difficult to harness and are often quite volatile, but they can be extremely powerful.

Trikoz tells you, I have in my possession the capability to inspire one of those philosophies... that of freedom. It has been in my mind ever since I heard of this Falgut and his slaves. I will sell it to you, <player>. I hope it serves you well in the coming fight.
