Giltekh Framtor, Alchemist Extraordinaire, received a mysterious letter that indicated Niesa, his mentor and lover, may not be dead afterall. Your search for the letter's author has led you to Kirasanct to a trader named Feljat who delivered it.
Quest text[edit]
Feljat tells you, Very well, let us discuss the letter. I did not write it, let me be clear on that point. I was given the letter and asked to deliver it. It has been months since I received it and a cloaked figure was the one who gave it to me. I never saw his (or her) face, but I can tell you that the smell was awful.
Feljat tells you, Like the dead, <player>! A stench that made myself and the guards at the Eastern Outpost gag. The cloaked figure never entered the outpost, but merely delivered the letter to me as I was preparing to leave. Oh, I was there acquiring Vokhtar Seeds from the Frontier. They are very valuable on Lesser Aradoth, you know?
Feljat tells you, This figure, however, shambled up and handed me the letter. Said in a raspy voice barely louder than a whisper to "Deliver this to Giltekh" and then stomped away before any of us could speak a word. Well, I had no idea who or what this Giltekh was, so it took some time to discover his whereabouts and then to organize a caravan to the Island of Ice. What a profit I made from that journey, let me tell you!
Feljat tells you, So, there you have it. I'd suggest heading out to the Eastern Outpost and speaking with the guards. They may have some additional knowledge about that cloaked figure.
Borrin tells you, <player>, watch your back. There are many dangers abouts this close to the deadlands and Brobbet's Justice can be swift in these dire times. What brings you to the edge of the Frontier? A letter for Giltekh you say? Delivered by a cloaked figure... *he glances at Ssithan*
Ssithan tells you, *nods* Yes, by Kaashaâ's Breath, this one remembers. Smelled like death, it did! All cloaked and mysterious. Shambles up to the gate, hands a letter to that half-giant trader, what was that one's name again?
Borrin says, 'Feljat. I remember it now. She travels here every couple of months. Whatever it was handed the letter to her. What do you want with her, <player>?'
Borrin says, 'You're looking for the thing that delivered the letter? *he shivers* It wasn't something I would want to tangle with, I don't think. Had a presence about it, Dark. Foul.'
Ssithan tells you, Downright terrifying it was!
Borrin says, '*he nods in agreement* Right, exactly. Terrifying.'
