A disaster is in the making! The Withered Aegis are attempting to open the northern gates of Old Rachival and begin spreading out into the Winter Vale and beyond. Engineer Gaskettan needs your help in ensuring this does not happen.
Quest text[edit]
Tinod tells you, <player>, <player>! Time is short. Disaster is imminent! I am not joking, <player>, the undead are working this very day to open the northern gates of Old Rachival. If they do, countless undead and worse will spread into this valley and beyond. Perhaps even east towards Morning Light! Or north to the Tower of Magery. Can you imagine the impact if the Withered Aegis captured ANOTHER of the Great Towers?
Tinod tells you, *he looks around frantically* We MUST do something, <player>, or all will be lost! YOU must do something. Yes, *he nods* that is the way it must be. You are one of the Gifted, it is your place and your responsibility. I must stay here and ensure this outpost runs smoothly. You must fight the undead. There on the slopes to the south. Kill the Ruined Engineers, <player>.
You have defeated sufficient Ruined Engineers. Return to Tinod Gaskettan at the Gnomian Outpost..
Tinod tells you, Well, <player>, what is the word? Many of the Ruined Engineers defeated, yes? Oh dear, even with that many destroyed I fear the breach is imminent! You did well, Gifted, yes you did. But, we are not out of the woods yet.

- Destroy fifteen (15) Ruined Engineers outside the gates of Old Rachival
- Speak with Tinod Gaskettan at the Gnomian Outpost
