Helian's Tomb has been desecrated and Elder Memni has sent you to speak with Battlemaster Orthondrin at the Observatory Outpost. But Orthondrin believes you must first prove that your heart and body are worthy of such a quest.

Quest text[edit]

Now that you are here, <player>, we may proceed. First, however, I must test your resolve and through this prove to me that your intentions and your capabilities are worthy. To enter the Tomb one must not only be strong of mind and heart, but also of body. You must believe in the rightness of your task! Therefore, you will solve a riddle for me first.

  • A riddle?

Yes. Take this riddle, <player>, and consider it carefully. The solution is simple; There are three enemies of the Dragon that reside close to this outpost. To solve this riddle you must defeat one and return to me with its trophy. If it is the correct trophy I will allow you to proceed into Helian's Tomb. If it is not, you must start anew.

  • Three enemies to the riddle?

Yes, as I said, there are three enemies you must choose from. The first is a Risen Skeleton and leader of the enemy known as Captain Nitholi. It can be found north and east of here on the road to Heart. The second is a foul blight known as Brannagor. Once a powerful Gnome, but now twisted and evil. It can be west of this outpost near the Observatory of the Gnomes. The third and final enemy is a mechanical beast created by the Gnomes and twisted by the Withered Aegis and is called Project J. It can be found south of this outpost in the ruins of Rastiphan. Now go, <player>, choose wisely and return to me.

Yes, <player>, Brannagor was the correct answer to the riddle. As a blight, Brannagor was neither alive nor dead, it is an enemy of Dragonkind, and it does not walk on the road. Or any land for that matter! And, of course, you have delivered its Hope to me so it is now bereft of Hope as well. *he chuckles to himself* Well done, <player>. You have proven that you can use your mind to solve a riddle. By defeating Brannagor you have proven that you are strong enough for the task that lies ahead.
