A rare dragon artifact led you to Dennison Jadefellow and from there to the Dalimond Archives. You retrieved three very old (and heavy!) tomes and left them with Dennison to study. He has completed his reading and now beckons you to listen to what he has learned.
Quest text[edit]
Dennison tells you, There you are, <player>! I have just completed reading over these large tomes. The knowledge and history they contain is quite impressive. You should review them yourself sometime, or better yet spend a few years in the Archives. You might one day surpass me if you set your mind to it!
Dennison tells you, Yes, well, where was I? Oh yes... the ruins. It would seem that the ruins were still there during the age of Ashlander Vandus, first King of the Kingdom of Vandus and the man who single-handedly freed humanity from the rule of Dragons. In 597 B.R., that is Before Ritual, there was a battle between humans and Dragons at Bayn Hill. Thats a big hill to the west near Bristugo!
Dennison tells you, The battle was relatively small, but important because it established that humans would and could stand up to Dragons. With the Great Schism well underway, Dragon society was split about what to do with the humans. And so we were left to our own devices while they argued for centuries. Chiconis was founded not that long after! And it would appear that the ruin on Dalimond Ridge was abandoned about the same time. Who would have thought, <player>!
Dennison tells you, So there we have it. The ruin is nearly six centuries old and was abandoned around the time of Ashlander Vandus. No real surprise though as many changes and upheavals occurred during that era and no Dragon would have wanted to remain in human territory I would imagine.
