Ryson Stormbringer, the Hero who sacrificed himself at the Battle of Tazoon, seems to be bound to you somehow. For better or worse, you two are intertwined and perhaps even linked to the Fate of Istaria itself.
Quest text[edit]
Ryson tells you, Despite your best efforts, Gifted, I fear we have not succeeded in stopping the Withered Aegis. Nor have we discovered the full source of the disturbance. I feel it still, though it seems to be centered more to the south.
Ryson tells you, <player>, let us discuss the matter with a friend once again. Speak with Geleon the Wise here in Kion.
Geleon tells you, What can I do for you <player>?
Ryson says, 'Once more, my friend, we have need of your wisdom and knowledge. I continue to feel a disturbance, but I am also worried about the presence of the Cabal's presence.'
Geleon tells you, My friends, I cannot speak for this disturbance, but if the Cabal is truly here on the island and attempting to disturb the ancient tombs then we must inform others. I would recommend speaking with Lady Kendra before any further steps are taken.
Ryson tells you, Agreed, my friend. Our next step then is clear, <player>, you should speak to the Lady in the house up on the hill.
Kendra tells you, Good day, Ranger. Geleon sends word that agents of the Withered Aegis are disturbing the ancient graves of my people. Is this true?
Kendra tells you, Sacrilege! Others must be alerted, <player>, for we cannot allow this to continue.
Kendra tells you, How far does the desecration of our ancient tombs spread on the island? Or beyond the island? What of the Sslik? Others must be warned so that they too can take action. Please, <player>, speak to Commander Devins here in Kion about the matter.
Jaleo tells you, What is it? I have little time to spare, can you not see that the walls are under assault? Wait, please repeat that again.
Jaleo tells you, The Withered Aegis are attacking the graveyards? *he grimaces* Thank you for the notice, <player>, I will see about adding the coastline northwest of the city to our regular patrols.
Ryson tells you, The militia has been notified? Very good. That should help slow the Cabal's efforts. The disturbance feels somewhat lessened by your efforts, though I still have a feeling of dread. Something greater and far worse than we can imagine is in the works, I know it even if I cannot yet prove it.
