Yukon is terrified of a beast he calls The Abominable. He says it lives on the top of the hill above Gnomekindle Town itself. He won't rest until you return proof that you've killed the beast.

Yukon tells you, Oh, I'm so glad you're here. A brave strong Ranger such as yourself can surely help me. You see, this snow that they keep making has me terrorized. I can't rest. I've hardly eaten since the Gnomekindle celebration has begun. All because of this ridiculous snow. Do you know why we are even here?, <player>? No, I thought not.
Yukon tells you, We've been moved to this island in the middle of no where because NRRI thought that every festival should now be held on a "Resort" island! Some resort, huh? Cold, snow covered, up in the middle of no where. And what's worse, there's an abominable bumble just up the hill terrorizing anyone who tries to go up there.
That's right, there's bumbles up in the snow country. Oh, that's not what you folks call them. You call them all sorts of different names. But me, I know what they are. They're bumbles, clear as the nose on my face. And they are the fiercest, meanest, strongest critters you'll ever see, I tell you what.
Yukon tells you, So, what'dya say to goin' up there yerself and taken that there bumble out for me? I call him 'The Abominable' cause he's so big. Go up there and teach him a thing er two about scarin' the whits outta a guy, and I'll reward ya, that I will. Just bring me back something to prove he's gone.
You killed The Abominable. The poor little Abominable! Let's hope Mayor Clause doesn't find out. This would surely give you points toward the naughty list. Remember to bring back a toe or some other bit as proof to Yukon that the monster is dead..

Yukon tells you, Well, whadya know? Didn't ever 'spect to see you alive. I mean, welcome back. Merry Gnomekindle, <player>. And with a bumble toe, e'n. Guess that means that Abominable is gone once and for good. 'Supose you'll be expecting a reward now, won'tcha? Well, here, take this. It's all I got, I tell ya.

Steps[edit]
- Talk to Yukon.
- Travel up the hill and search for The Abominable. When you find it, kill it, simple as that.
- Yukon will be happy to hear that the bumble he calls The Abominable is dead. Return to him and show him the Bumble Toe as proof.
