Sergeant Akkator has been assigned to the last Outpost before the Eastern Deadlands, not to stop the Undead, but to provide an early warning in case of invasion. His command is woefully undermanned and he could use all the assistance he can get from the Gifted.
Quest text[edit]
Akkator tells you, Report! Ah, it is you again, <player>. Just in the nick of time too! There is a matter of some concern that I could use your assistance with. You see, more than a week ago I sent a patrol east towards the gates, but I have heard nothing since. As you can see, I am left with few resources, none of which I can spare to send additional patrols to find the original one. So I am left to begging the Gifted for assistance.
Akkator tells you, Budget constraints! I loathe them and the Imperial Council. Give me the troops I need and the money to pay them and I will retake this region! Instead, I am left with a decaying outpost and soldiers just out of training. Bah!
Akkator tells you, Nevertheless, you are here and I will work with what I have available to me. The patrol is lost, <player>, and I fear dead. But I would ask of you to travel east towards the gates to the deadlands and search for signs of their passing or of their fate. Be swift and be careful!
To the north lies a path leading up to the remains of a camp and it appears to have been recently used. Footprints in the dirt and cold food near the campfire would indicate it was abandoned in a hurry. Perhaps there are survivors nearby!.
You have located a survivor of the patrol and she appears to be wounded!.
Wounded tells you, Hullo? Over here! Yes, yes, saved at last! <player>, you are a sight for sore eyes. Did the Sergeant send you? As you can see I am the last of my patrol.

- Talk to Sergeant Akkator
- Search for signs of the Lost Patrol along the road to the Eastern Deadlands
- Triggers at 29188/25596(map).
- Having found an abandoned campsite with footprints heading out of it back toward the north, it appears that perhaps someone was trying to escape in a hurry.
- Triggers at 29120/25545(map). South (!!) of the previous step.
- Speak to the Wounded Scout
