You have recovered more than one artifact from the Forest Skulk Villages and Dennison Jadefellow, scholar of Dalimond, believes that they have been looted from ancient tombs located on the Dalimond Peninsula. Now after researching them further he believes they may indicate a more sinister purpose!
Quest text[edit]
Dennison tells you, Here you are, come closer. <player>, I have been researching these artifacts and have reached some very disturbing conclusions. You see, the skulk live in the forests along the western coast... Near the foot of Bayn Hill and along the Sable Coast. There are no tombs in those locations!
Dennison tells you, However, we do know that tombs in other places on the peninsula have become infested with the undead! Now, they are not under the direct control of the Withered Aegis, we don't believe. But the presence of the undead indicates that they have at least been opened and likely ransacked! Which leads me to a disturbing conclusion; The artifacts you found in in the skulk villages represent a pledge or promise by the Withered Aegis to the Forest Skulk. For what purpose I do not know, but I fear no good can come of it.
Dennison tells you, <player>, this is now beyond my purview and so you must take this to someone who deals in such matters. Go speak with Leftenant Hanlon here in Dalimond. He may know more about what actions can be taken to deal with this matter. Good journeys.
Tomas tells you, Hail, <player>, and welcome. I have received correspondence from Dennison regarding your visit. And I must say that the circumstances are as disturbing as he mentioned. The potential for the expansion of hostilities on the peninsula is great if the Withered Aegis are seeking allies that lie beneath our normal level of attention, such as the skulk.
Tomas tells you, Unfortunately this matter is one that concerns the entire Confederation and so I dare not make any direct decisions. Instead, you should speak with the Mayor, Councilman Micklin Vandus. He may send you back here, but at least he will be appraised of the situation and can decide what the government as a whole will do about it.
Micklin tells you, <player>, what brings you back here? New developments regarding the Forest Skulk? Yes, I have heard that the artifacts you recovered are believed by Scholar Jadefellow to be a Pledge by the Withered Aegis. This is most disturbing and signals a new phase in the war I suspect.
