You recovered a Wraith Core from the Disgraced Magus known as Voullis Anthag and then at the behest of Archwizard Thurid recovered even more Cores from other Disgraced Magus. Now, he wishes to extend his research further by adding another step to the process.
Quest text[edit]
Thurid tells you, The dutiful Gifted has arrived once again. Good. You are inquisitive about my research, that is good. However, let me assure you that it is far beyond your level of understanding. Perhaps if you dedicated your life to research and study you might reach my level... No, perhaps not even then.
Thurid tells you, Nevertheless, my research has reached a critical stage and I must incorporate another element into the mix. You, as one of the Gifted, are much more versed in the dangers of the Frontier and the Deadlands and so, once more, I have need of your expertise. And, as before, you will be compensated for your efforts.
Thurid tells you, Go, <player>, recover more of these Cores from the Disgraced Magus. Return to me with at least six and I will pay you well for your trouble.
You have once again recovered sufficient Wraith Cores for Archwizard Thurid. Return to the Eastern Outpost..
Thurid tells you, Six more Cores, excellent. Now, <player>, take these to the distant citadel of Kirasanct and speak with the Alchemist known as Barrakhen. Do you know of him? No matter, he is there and will know how to purify these Cores.
Barrakhen tells you, <player>, what do you want? Be quick, my time is precious. Thurid, eh? Well, why didn't you say so. He's an old friend and I can usually find time to indulge him. Wraith Cores? Never heard of 'em, though they remind me of Essence Orbs, don't you think?
Barrakhen tells you, He needs them purified? Well, well. Fortunately for you I have done something similar in recent days and I have the bath already prepared. Give me those and I will take care of it.
Barrakhen tells you, Yes, here you are. Purified, though I won't vouch for the level of purity as I am unfamiliar with objects such as this. The surface, at least, has been purified and should work for any of Thurid's research. Now, leave me to my work!

- Speak to Archwizard Thurid
- Collect six (6) Wraith Cores from the Disgraced Magus in the Eastern Deadlands
- Return to Archwizard Thurid at the Eastern Outpost with the Wraith Cores
- Take the Wraith Cores to Alchemist Barrakhen in Kirasanct
- Speak to Alchemist Barrakhen
- Listen to Alchemist Barrakhen
- Return to Archwizard Thurid at the Eastern Outpost with the Purified Wraith Cores
