Quest text[edit]

Pratt tells you, <player>! Your timing is impeccable. A siege has been laid down against the town of New Trismus and we need your help breaking it. I suppose I should explain.

Pratt tells you, It all began on the evening of my wedding, actually. What a glorious time we were all having. Elainor had agreed to marry me and I felt I was the luckiest man on earth that day. And she looked so lovely in her gown. The gown that is now ruined, of course. Ah, to go from the best day of our life to one of the worst in no more than a heartbeat.

Pratt tells you, So many of our friends and family had joined us for the celebration that the whole town was packed. We had to move out of the main part of town, in fact, and up to the hills just outside. I suppose that's what saved most of us, actually. Had we been in town, and had it been just the small contingent of guards that we normally have, you and I might not be speaking today. Thank Istara that we'd left some of those very guards in town, though, to keep watch. When the cry was raised, we all thought at first it was a cruel joke, actually.

Pratt tells you, But, of course, there was no joke. Hundreds of skeletons, some zombies, even a few ghosts and various other Aegis, were attacking New Trismus itself. Oh, the guests fought valiantly against the onslaught. Many grabbed weapons from Frelic's stores and went right to battle in their party gear! And yes, that even included my lovely Elainor. That is how her gown was ruined. But we were able to fight them back that day.

Pratt tells you, However, that hasn't stopped whoever, or more to the point what ever, it is that is behind this invasion. I have people around the island researching trying to find someone or some thing that is powerful enough to raise all these undead. We've had problems with the Aegis before, but they've always been held back by the small contingents we were able to send out.

Pratt tells you, What I need you to do is try and break this siege for me. I can't even get messages up to the outlying camps on the island with all the skeletons that surround us right now. I need you to head out of town by slipping past the walls that we've put up so quickly. I'm sure there are gaps in them that you can slip through, but we did do our best to try and control those places. Anyway, slip out and start killing the skeletons. A dozen or so will hopefully demoralize them enough that we can push them back and get out.

You've killed at least 12 of the Invae Warriors, but doing so doesn't seem to have even made a dent. You should return to Steward Pratt and see if he has other plans..

Pratt tells you, You were able to kill the skeletons? Yes, good. But it didn't demoralize them at all, did it? I didn't actually think so. They appear to be rather mindless creatures whose only goal is to kill others. It is some of the other undead that attacked the town that had set the fires, not the skeletons. But I need to figure out what is controlling them. Speak to me again in a few moments. Give me some time to think.
