| Sergeant Borash's Status Report |
You have assisted the outpost of Heart and the Vandus Militia by stopping a potential assault that would have surely overrun the community. Now that the path is more clear to the south, Sergeant Illos wants you to search for the fate of a lost patrol.

Listen to Sergeant Illos
<player>, my scouts tell me that the path south is clear... for now. Even as we speak the undead rush to reclaim it! But we have a temporary respite, thanks to you. I have a request and I apologize in advance for it is dangerous and may be folly, but I must ask.
Two weeks ago I sent a patrol south with orders to reach the Observatory Outpost at all costs and then report back. I have heard no word. It is likely that they are dead, but I must learn of their fate. You see, my nephew, Ande, was a member of the party. I tried to shield him as much as I could from the dangers, but he is young and headstrong. And in truth he is one of my best swordsmen so I could not refuse without showing favoritism.
So, I fear I gave the order that sent he and his companions to their deaths. I have not told my sister yet, though she has asked me twice in letters for word of her son. I do not know how to break the news, it will surely break her heart! And worse, I do not know his fate so I all I could tell her was that he is presumed dead. I cannot do that to her, <player>!
So I ask you again, my friend, to travel south and seek out the lost patrol and my nephew, Ande. No matter what you find return here to me with word so that I may tell my sister once and for all of her nephew's fate. Travel swiftly and with purpose, <player>!

Blood and Tears, one of the Gifted here in this camp! I never thought to see one of you here, surely not at such a dire time. But, you are here and your mere presence has lifted my spirits. You come from Heart, have you? Well, perhaps you would tell my aunt, Nansi Illos, that I live and that we are safe for the moment. I'm sure she and my mother back in Dalimond will be overjoyed!
Speak with Sergeant Borash about the status of the camp
<player>, you are here at the behest of Sergeant Illos? I cannot tell you how it gladdens me to hear your affirmation. We have been out of contact with the rest of the militia for some time now and we had begun to fear the outpost of Heart and others may have been overrun. The Withered Aegis are growing strong here in the south and soon I fear they will unleash their full strength northwards. <player>, take this report detailing our status back to Sergeant Illos.
Have you found signs of the patrol, <player>? No? Keep hunting. They must be somewhere to the south! Search the camp of the undead along the road first, then search the Goranthis Forest. They would have passed through it to reach the Observatory Outpost. Good luck!
Return to Heart with word of the Lost Patrol and her nephew
So, <player>, you have returned. Did you find the patrol? You did? They have established a camp near the southern edge of the Goranthis Forest and The Warrens? Well done. This is a bright moment in an otherwise gloomy time! That they are safe for now is welcome news. And my nephew yet lives? *she claps her hands* His mother will be most gratified to hear of it.
