A lonely spirit on the Island of Ice has been stranded for centuries and is seeking vengeance on the one who left him here.
Quest text[edit]
Magus tells you, This place is a prison, <player>. You may see the sky and an open doorway, but for a spirit such as I this is most certainly a prison. I am bound here, you see, bound to this inhospitable land. Bound to forever stare at snow and ice, to be incapable of affecting the world about me except to speak with those who may venture here of course.
Magus tells you, I died here as did all others who served the master of this fortress. The ground shook for many days and some of the warriors threw down their weapons and fled into the icy wastes. Looking back they were the lucky ones. After what seemed an eternity the shaking ceased, but was soon replaced by a dark and terrible cloud. The sun and the bitter cold quickly vanished, only the howling wind remained, and our breath was soon taken away. We died, painfully, and have been bound to this frozen and forgotten waste ever since.
Magus tells you, Had I not come to this island, <player>, I would not have perished in such a manner. I would have been with my family, perhaps dying of old age, but certainly wiser. It is for what I lost and what can never be reclaimed that I ask you to exact vengeance on the master of this fortress, the so-called Pirate-King. You will find him roaming just below this fortress with his Corsairs.
The Pirate-King lies dead at your feet!
Magus tells you, It is bittersweet, <player>. You have brought me vengeance, but I find that I feel nothing. No satisfaction, no remorse, only this cold anger that burns forever within.
Steps[edit]
- Talk to Grand Magus
- Kill the Trandalaran Pirate-King for the Grand Magus. He can be found just outside the fortress of the Trandalaran Grand Magus.
- Return to the Grand Magus in the Fortress on the Island of Ice.
