Quest text[edit]
Dekhail tells you, Ranger, this camp is not the most ideal locale, is it? Surely not a sunny beach or a peaceful day in some meadow or even a quiet room on a cold winter's day with a warm mug.
Dekhail tells you, Here we are, however, in this frigid camp with the wind whistling, our teeth chattering, and a warm mug merely a bit of wishful thinking. There is a bright side to the predicament, would you hear it?
Dekhail tells you, There is coin to be made, <player>! Oh yes, even in a place such as this, at the furthest ends of Aradoth, there is coin to be made. Surely you encountered those huge beetles on your trek across the island, did you not?
Dekhail tells you, Vikinos Beetles, Giltekh called them, I believe. They don't taste good, believe me, and I have yet to find any part of them that is valuable. However... the snow scarabs that scuttle along beneath the great beetles are another matter entirely!
Dekhail tells you, You see, there are gemstones scattered all about this island and over time the tiny scarabs pick them up as they cross the snows. The gems become embedded in their hard carapaces, giving them quite a bit of value.
Dekhail tells you, So, what would I be asking of you? Simple! Go, kill many of the snow scarabs, and collect at least twelve of the carapaces for me. That will turn a tidy profit and I will share it with you.
Dekhail tells you, Well done, <player>! Yes, these are of excellent quality. See the gem stones here on the underside? Emerald and peridot. Brilliant! These will fetch quite a price. As promised, here is your share of the forthcoming profit.
Steps[edit]
- Talk with Dekhail and see what task she has for you.
- Collect twelve (12) Snow Scarab Carapaces from the Snow Scarabs on the Island of Ice.
- Return to Dekhail the Scout at the Expedition Camp with the Carapaces.
