Quartermaster Niiketz is dealing with severe supply shortages and is attempting to make the best of a bad situation. He'd like you to assist him in replenishing the outpost's supplies or maybe helping collect some rare items that he could sell back in Tazoon and use the funds to buy supplies.
Quest text[edit]
Niiketz tells you, Greetings, <player>, I am in a bit of a predicament. Your reputation precedes you and so I was hoping to enlist your assistance. Are you interested?
Niiketz tells you, You see, my good Ranger, supplies here are running dangerously low. How low? Well, look about... Do you see any barrels or crates? No? That low, my friend. As in, we have none. *his stomach rumbles as if on queue* It has been a few days since I've had a good meal and Boiled Oastic doesn't taste very good. Very... leafy.
Niiketz tells you, I thought of sending you back to Tazoon to procure supplies, but my last three requests have all been met with refusals. Then, I had another idea! We're on the edge of the frontier and the deadlands, there must be rare components around that I could sell and use the profits to procure supplies. Right?!
Niiketz tells you, There are scorpions wandering the near edge of the deadlands, <player>. Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to acquire ten Tail Spines from the Toxic Bonespurs that can be found east of this outpost. I can sell the stingers for a tidy sum in Tazoon and return here with food for an army!

- Talk to Quartermaster Niiketz
- Aquire ten (10) Tail Spines from the Toxic Bonespurs east of the Eastern Outpost
- Return to Quartermaster Niiketz at the Eastern Oupost with the Tail Spines
