Private Alis Talor was posted to King's Cross outpost a few months ago and has seen a rise in the amount of trade along the roads, but also an increase in the presence of Brownback Wolves. You've helped reduce the local population of wolves, but the threat has lured the larger, more dangerous wolves into the nearby trees.

Alis tells you, Ranger, you have helped ease the difficulties facing my posting here at King's Cross considerably. And for that I thank you. I believe this may be the safest the roads around this outpost have been in the two hundred years since its founding. Even safer than when there was an actual barracks and inn right here on this very spot!
Alis tells you, But, I fear all is not yet quiet. The killing of many of the wolves has brought out the strongest and fiercest of the pack! I have seen it prowling near the edges of the trees just to the north, <player>, and I fear it may attack at any moment! I need your sword and spell this day. Enter the forest and slay the beast! Return here and I will give you my most precious possession.
