You have been using the Withered Bane technique, but now you can learn how to craft for yourself this unique technique to apply it to other items. You'll just have to do Frelic a favor or two in order to obtain the formula.

Frelic tells you, Ah, so the Withered Bane technique is working well for you, eh? Good, good, I am glad to hear it. Oh, you'd like the formula for it? I suppose that can be arranged. If you would do me a quick favor, that is.
Frelic tells you, You see, the newly Gifted keep coming to me for new armor and weapons. And it is getting to be rather difficult for me to keep up, what with gathering the components needed, refining them, and then making the armor or weapon. So if you bring me 15 refined Bronze Bars, that should give me a bit of a jump on what is needed for the next round of Gifted.
Frelic tells you, Ah, let me see them. Yes, this will do just fine. Just fine indeed. But, well, I can't give you the formula just yet. You see, I got behind in making wooden bows, and so haven't had time to scribe it yet. I don't suppose you'd be willing to gather more wood for me so that I could sit and scribe a copy of the formula for you, would you? Just the 15 Cedar Boards should do, same as with the bars.
Frelic tells you, Ah yes. These look just fine. Oh, my, but I forgot that the bows will need to be strung! I shouldn't need quite as much Flax Spooling, but I will need some. About 10 Flax Spools should do just fine, I'd think. You don't mind, do you?
Frelic tells you, Excellent, Human, these will do perfectly. Now for that formula I promised you. I have a copy around here somewhere. Thank you so for your help.

- Return to Frelic with the stack of 15 Bronze Bars. Frelic didn't specify that you must craft them yourself, only that he needs 15 bars to make the new armor with.
- Now Frelic wants 15 Cedar Boards. You are starting to wonder if this is some sort of scam.
- This had best be the final item on Frelic's list of favors. Now you're to bring him 10 Flax Spools.
