As both a Ranger and Outfitter, Ciowiel feels that you can learn to make Dire Wolf Hide Grips for yourself and has offered to teach you the process.

It is rare these days to find a Ranger who also possesses skills in the finer art of outfitting. Having fought the Dire Wolves and I assume tested your new Hide Grip, perhaps you are eager to learn how to make them for yourself and for others? They might turn a tidy profit if sold to other Gifted. I will teach you, <player>. But first, you must bring me ten more Dire Wolf Hides.
Ciowiel tells you, Good, you have the hides, but you have merely taken the first step along the process. Now, let us discuss the processing of hides. The Grips require the hides to be in strips. However, raw hide is not any use to you; it will be weak and begin to decay. So, you will want to cure them first.
Ciowiel tells you, You have cured hides before, yes? You want to cure these hides then cut them into strips as you would any other hide. When you have cured and cut them properly, return here to me with twenty cured hide strips.

Ciowiel tells you, Well done, <player>! You certainly have the knack of curing and cutting hides. Now, for the next step you will need Ironsilk Thread. Are you familiar with it? I thought not, it is not widely used among Outfitters or Tailors. Ironsilk Thread is made from Ironsilk Spools. You will need the formula which I think I have around here somewhere.
Ciowiel tells you, Ah yes, here it is! Take this, <player>. The final step is to make the Hide Grips, which uses the cured hides, the thread and also Bright Essence Orbs. Once you have those, use this formula to make the grips. May it help you and the other Gifted in your fight against the Withered Aegis. But remember, leaves fall.
