The sands and canyons surrounding the Tower of Healing have become filled with the disturbed spirits of ancient travelers. Many are of people long since forgotten, from ancient tribes or villages. Curate Bikann wishes to collect their memories so that they will not be forgotten, that others may learn of these people and their history and customs.

Quest text[edit]

Bikann tells you, <player>, welcome to the Tower of Healing. Confessor Altin speaks highly of you and so I was hoping you might lend me a hand. You have noticed numerous spirits roaming the canyons and shifting sands around the Tower, have you not?

Bikann tells you, These are the disturbed spirits of travelers, villagers, even adventurers from days long past. Most have long since been forgotten and may even predate the building of this Tower or the Kingdom of Barsavus.

Bikann tells you, You do not know me, but I am something of a history afficianado, <player>. I am interested in ancient cultures and these spirits are a perfect opportunity to learn more about them. First, however, we must recover their memories so that they will be remembered and we can learn from them.

Bikann tells you, Some years ago I developed a spell that would allow me to capture the memories of individuals. With their consent of course! It has been useful for saving them for future reference, particularly when dealing with politicians or other Orders.

Bikann tells you, When these spirits arose I began considering whether or not I could use the spell to acquire their memories as well. I tried it myself, but it failed. Something about the lack of a corporeal form I suspect.

Bikann tells you, Nevertheless, I was undaunted and forged forward with a new version of the spell that I completed mere days ago. Perhaps you would test it for me, <player>? You stand here in my aura. Together we will recover the lost memories. Enter the Shifting Sands south of this Tower where you will find the Forgotten Souls.

Bikann tells you, You will need to engage them and force them to dissipate, but at the very last moment the spell should latch hold of their memories for us! Return here to me should your ability to recover the memories fade. Good luck, <player>.

Bikann tells you, It worked?! That is wonderful news and I see that you recovered numerous memories from the Forgotten Souls. I look forward to learning much from these faded spirits.
