Defeat Umyarr the Adamantium Golem King and claim the Scale of the Ancients.
Quest text[edit]
Vladtmordt tells you, This will not be an easy task, find and kill Umyarr, return to me with a portion of his metal, and I will complete the crafting of your scale.
Vladtmordt tells you, It is good to see you again, <player>, and a relief. I know the danger of facing a creature as formidable as the golem king. In defeating him, you have grown stronger. Give me your Cask of Ancient Elements and the sample of adamantium. I will craft the scale for you while you wait.
Vladtmordt tells you, Here at last, <player>, is your Scale of the Ancients. Wear it proudly, for you have passed your first trial! Return to the Council of Ancients, tell V'tieru of your success.

V'Tieru tells you, So you have accomplished the creation of a Scale of Ancients and completed the first trial, <player>? Well done, but do not think your journey ends here. The council must have time to review your accomplishments, to consult with Vladtmordt and Lantenal, among others, about your readiness for the second trial.
V'Tieru tells you, Eager to begin already are you? Know that even if we allowed you to continue now, little could you accomplish at this juncture in time. Your next journey will take you to the rift, young one, through the very portal we guard, the Gate of Embers. I cannot tell you why, as yet, only realize that the fate of the world will rest on you, <player>. You will be told when the time for the second trial has come. For now, return to your companions, your comrades in craft and arms. We shall call on you again, soon.
Steps[edit]
- Defeat Umyarr the Adamantium Golem King, he is found on a high mountain far, far by the eastern gate..
- Return to Vladtmordt the Sample of Adamantium and your Cask of the Ancient Elements. Vladtmordt refuses to speak with you unless you have both items with you.
- Claim your Scale of the Ancients by speaking to Vladtmordt again.
- Return to the Council of Ancients and speak to V'Tieru.
