The Breath of Lightning is a powerful breath weapon that is capable of nullifying magical effects and harming the enemy's dexterity.

Kelakhan tells you, Now that you are an adult, you may have found it is not so different as you expected -- but you must remember that physiologically, you are now capable of feats you were not prepared for previously. One of these is the ability to command different elements than just fire, gaining breath of ice for example. If you wish to gain this sort of mastery over lightning, I am willing to teach you. Not every dragon is capable of combining elements into such a pure form of energy, however, so I feel I should tell you now that thetask will not be easy.
Kelakhan tells you, What I will create for you is a sort of potion, a liquid materia which, when swallowed, will mix itself with your natural flame and allow you to summon this new element at will. The ingredients are straightforward, but not always easy to come by; A sample of Essence of Lightning in raw form, and the splinter of veteran skeleton called the Splinter of Energy Bone, and a flask made of an unusual silver. Bring me these three items, and I shall create the flask, and combine them into the necessary potion.
Kelakhan tells you, The Veteran Skeletons in particular have bones which are immune to the powerful magical energies which the Essence of Lightning will have, perhaps because these skeletal wizards control such power already that they are used to energy flowing through them. The skeletons actually roam on the island where you'd found the rune I used to create the scale for the dragon known as Breath of Fire, if you recall where that was. The island was called Elnath, and it is one in a series of islands all of which have some of the most powerful agents of the Withered Aegis known in Istaria. There you will also find the Thunder and Lightning Blights which you must defeat in order to obtain the needed Essence of Lightning.

Kelakhan tells you, You have done well. I hope attaining the Splinter of Energy Bone was not too difficult. Now, the final ingredient I need is Dahibian Silver Bars. This can be refined into a flask which will withstand the extreme energies of the potion which I will make for you and protect your claws at the same time.
Kelakhan tells you, Dahibian Silver is a rare silver ore once found on the Satyr Island of Dahibi. Now, I believe you will need to speak with a naka known as Bacharath at the Satyr Refugee Camp in Feladan. Once acquired, you will process it into bars, and then return here to me.
Bacharath tells you, Welcome, Scaled One. You seek Dahibian Silver, do you? You have come to the right place then. I have acquired a substantial supply of it, prior to the veins going dry. I would be happy to provide you with ore and also the means of processing it... for a price! After all, I can't just be giving something so precious away! I suppose, however, that because you are doing this for Kelakhan, I can give you the formula for processing it from raw ore to bars. If you ruin any, however, in processing it, that's on your head and you will have to buy more.

Kelakhan tells you, Excellent. You work fast, <player>, and that is good, as the energy will only remain moderately stable for a short time, even with all the precautions we've taken. Give me but a moment to form the vessel for the potion and combine the ingredients and we will see if this works.
Kelakhan tells you, This did not take as long as I feared it might. I filled the flask -- that should be just long enough for the solution to set, I believe. Here you are, as promised. Drink it down quickly, before it loses strength.
As you drink the flask, you can immediately feel the energy flowing through you. You can now breath lightning!.

Steps[edit]
- Acquire a Splinter of Energy-Bone from veteran skeletons on the islands known as Satyr Islands.
- Fill the container Kelakhan gave you with the Essence of Lightning from defeated Thunder and Lightning Blights that roam on the island chain which starts with the Island of Elnath.
- Return to Kelakhan when you have acquired the Essence of Lightning and the Splinter of Energy Bone.
- Speak with Bacharath at the Satyr Refugee Camp in Feladan.
- Create ten(10) Dahibian Silver Bars.
- Dahibian Silver Ore can be purchased from Bacharath.
- Return to Kelakhan with the Dahabian Silver Bars.
- Give Kelakhan a moment to prepare the potion, then speak to him again to be given your final reward.
