The giant loricatus beetles on the beaches of Lesser Aradoth are more numerous and much more aggressive lately. Scale-Guard Kerrak wants to discover the reason.
Quest text[edit]
Travel to the beach north of Bridgeview and the Crystal Lakes and you'll find the giant loricatus beetles. Once you located an intact giant loricatus beetle antennae, return to Guard Kerrak.
Something strange is going on with the giant loricatus beetles in the sands around the island. Kerrak has been getting reports that they are more numerous and much more aggressive lately. As it happens, Kerrak has a need for a Giant Loricatus Beetle Antennae. If <player> could collect it, Kerrak would be most appreciative. An intact antennae is not common, so <player> will probably have to slay several beetles, which should help with the population problem as well.
Game Feedback: The beetle that dropped the antennae has some kind of thick, sticky liquid on its mandibles. The liquid smells like alcohol and appears to have a mixture of herbs and other plant matter mixed in to it. Kerrak will probably want to know about this find.
Speak to Kerrak about the loricatus beetles.
Normally Kerrak would not care what loricatus beetles are feeding on, but they have been behaving very strangely recently. Only a fool would dismiss the possibility of a connection. Please, investigate this further. Fillet or Sshranu may be able to tell what herbs were used in this liquid, and that would be a good place to start. Now, as for the loricatus beetle antennae, it looks perfect. Please, accept this as a gesture of Kerrak's gratitude.
