Not only is Bentaras requiring you to go up against some of the biggest, most challenging treants known in Istaria, he's making you defeat more of them before he'll train you! Whatever he knows had better be worth it! Especially because getting to where the Thornwood Treants roam is anything but easy. You have to leave Harro and head south and east right toward the Eastern Deadlands.

Kill 30 Thornwood Treants (any type) to show Bentaras that you are serious about wanting to be trained. The treants are found south and east of Harro toward the Eastern Deadlands.
I told you that I would not make this last task an easy one for you. There's a settlement very close to the deadlands named Harro. It takes very brave citizens to make their home there, but ones even braver to leave the relative safety of the settlement and head toward the Deadlands themselves. I won't send you into the deadlands, but I do require that you practice against the Thornwood Treants a few more times before I can teach you the last of what I know.
