Quest text[edit]

Speak with Kerian the Wise.

If you're willing to run your little claws across this island a bit longer, I can offer you a very handy tool. Scale packs are not the only thing that can increase what you can hold. The little naka, gnomes, invented what is known as a cargo disk a long time ago. We dragons took interest in this shortly after and one of our greatest crafters learned how to make one of our own craft. Naturally, ours is superior - unlike the naka disks, ours lets us fly and glide while using it.

  • Can't you teach me how to craft them?

Learning to make a cargo disk is very involved and, honestly, even I cannot do it well. I only have extras in my stores that I can part with and they are rather rickety old things. You will learn to make them later on, <player>.

Cargo disks, in short, are moving inventories that trail behind you. In exchange for slowing you down and a limited item capacity, they offer a large amount of bulk storage. For now, I can offer you a cargo disk if you lend me a claw in return. What do you say?

  • We have a deal, Elder.

Good. Now, I want you to make me five Bronze-Sandstone Armor Chest Scales. Think you would get away without a tiny lesson? Hah! Defensive scales are special. To best protect ourselves, we need to use a combination of both stone and metal. Now, go along and bring me those scales.

Craft five (5) Bronze-Sandstone Armor Chest Scales.

Game Feedback: You have crafted the scales! Return to Kerian the Wise.

Welcome back, my pupil. Do you have the scales?

  • Of course. <You hand them over.>

Perfect. Immaculate, even. You are truly improving in your craft. Have you noticed items taking fewer resources to make? As you become more skilled in your craft, you need less resources per item. Someday, you will be processing resources like it's nothing.

Return to Kerian for your Cargo Disk.

As promised, here is your cargo disk. Treat it well. I do not have extras lying around, so if you lose it, there is no getting it back! It has been nice dealing with you, <player>. I'm pleased I took the time to assist you. However, now is where we truly bid each other farewell. Unless you wish to help me with my chores, then please, stick around. If not, well, I mean this with all politeness but please, scram. *She chuckles*
