Defense of the village of Aubador was ordered by Commander Jaleo Devins to stop the deadly raids out of the Western Deadlands. Supplies, however, were either not ordered or have been critically delayed leaving the residents and soldiers in a bind, and rather hungry.

Quest text[edit]

Bizzle tells you, I'm hungry, <player>, I won't deny it. Defense of this village was established by order of Commander Devins and the Engineering Corps worked hard to get it built and furnished. But our supplies only lasted a few weeks and there have been no caravans since.

Bizzle tells you, I'd send word back to Tazoon, but you know what happened to it. I have tried to send word back to New Rachival, but have received no response. We need your help, <player>! Without supplies we won't make it another week. If this village falls, the raids from the Western Deadlands will spread out towards communities to the east. Heather and Duskhold are the closest and if they are attacked innocent citizens could die!

Bizzle tells you, I had hoped that the caravans were merely delayed, but I fear that politics are likely at play here. *he sighs* I am ashamed to admit that I burned my own bridge when I left New Rachival for the Imperial Army. Worse, I suspect that my superiors cannot be trusted, <player>.

Bizzle tells you, I won't let my people starve, <player>! Whatever I may have done in the past, I am not a murderer and I don't let innocents suffer because of my sins. Unfortunately, that leaves us in a rather hard place, but with your help I believe I have a solution. The lands south and southwest of the village are not entirely devoid of life. Speak to Ssilgoth about potential foods to sustain us. The Sslik was assigned here to cook, but his manner suggests there is more to him than one who simply prepares stews and charred meat.

Ssilgoth tells you, This one greets <player>. Engineer Bizzle sent one to speak with Ssilgoth about supplies? That is good because this one knows much about the surrounding lands. Food is plentiful in the wilds and Ssilgoth can direct one to the proper sources.

Ssilgoth tells you, Ssilgoth has seen sheep near the village that <player> can kill for mutton. Ssilgoth has also seen a root growing nearby called the Tarnak Root. <player> can gather it for food as well.

Bizzle tells you, Roots? We can eat those, <player>? And Mutton. Well, if Ssilgoth thinks we can then maybe the Sslik has a plan for cooking them. Likely another stew. Thank you, <player>, you have shown us that we can live off the land, at least for a time.
