The Fall Festival is one of the festivals available on the Genevia resort islands. It is located at New Brommel.

Points of Interest[edit]

As of October 2017, the Fall Festival grounds at New Brommel have been greatly expanded and encompass a large portion of the southern and southwestern areas of the island. The area also boasts its own atmospheric lighting, shading everything in a hue of deep red. The sky is a Blighted funnel shape but also is colored red, black, and white, with no hint of a day/night cycle.

There are three main sections to the festival grounds: the exterior grounds, which house most of the NPCs/traders and quests, the blighted section where all of the festival's monsters roam, and the small beginning area near the landing pad.

Hidden across the grounds are a currently unknown amount of small skulls with glowing orange eyes.

Landing Area[edit]

The very start of the Fall Festival is by the landing pad of New Brommel around the shrine. Here you can find Chairman Beldin, Autumn, Halfdan Sundershield, and Durgan Stonecleaver. The latter two give you some lore regarding Hammer's Rest, while the former welcome you to the Fall Festival. Autumn offers a small quest to bob for apples.

Beyond this, however, there is little to be seen in this section.

The Exterior Grounds[edit]

The exterior grounds have a lot of unique sections that each garner interest. Most NPCs are placed together near the entrance to the Blighted section, sitting in or around tents surrounding a sacrificial-looking platform. Here you can trade the Fall Festival currency of candy for various items such as Masks, Dragon Masks, and Costumes. Jacques Allantyrn, Alice, and Alistair are all housed in this small section.

Nearby is the old graveyard, filled with tombstones with the names of various developers that worked on the game at the time of the creation of the fall festival many years ago. From top left to bottom right, the names are: Dennett, Vexare, Fridlekh, David Bowman, Amadan, Manga, Baela, Zoarre, Filthy, Smelgor, Fedyakin, Reyem, Tango, Velea, Amon Gwareth, Rick Simmons, and Chib.

Similarly, there are two other small graveyards far up the hill to the north past the large crypt with other names. The second northern-most graveyard surrounds a small stonehenge like structure and has the names Amon Gwareth, Yfelvik, Theron, and Tatsu. The northern-most graveyard forms a rectangle in front of some twisted blighted structures and has the names Zoey "Liseth" van der Meer, Frosthide, K. "Sarsilas" B., Alicia W., Alcuina, and Danny.

Back down the hill sits the most imposing structure in the festival; a large crypt surrounded by large walls. Sitting right inside the gate is the Costumed Dragon, a storyteller. Within the crypt is the Gnomian Ghost, another storyteller. The final storyteller in the exterior grounds is the Distraught Saris who sits by a dock to the far south, outside of the festival's main areas. Without modding the game, it's impossible to return to the main area from the docks without recalling as a non-flying race. Outside the main area to the west is Farmer Aldus, another storyteller who sits in a pumpkin patch.

The Blighted Section[edit]

The Blighted section of the festival grounds is where all of the combat-oriented content happens. The area is full of Spooky Spiders, Scary Zombies, and other fall-themed monsters. All the mobs in this region drop a variety of candies that can be exchanged with the vendors for various rewards. The most notable monsters are the two named bosses, Belohs the Spider Matriarch and the Unnerving Necromancer.

A few storytelling NPCs are also hidden throughout this section. Over by the Hempbound Estate is Holm the Orator who tells a total of six tales to Ella, Olaf, and any Gifted who wants some chills to run up their spine. Behind him is a Half-Giant playing dead on the sacrificial slab. Outside of the crypt is the Frightened Adventurer and Costumed Woman, the latter of which tells a story.

Within the ruined house across the Blighted area is Sir Onedra, another storyteller.

The Old Festival Grounds[edit]

Before 2012, the Fall Festival was hosted at the Hempbound Estate and Hempbound Estate east of Dalimond alongside some Gnomekindle NPCs. The festival was much smaller, but had a much higher quantity of spawns and still hosted the old developer graveyard. However, now that everything is moved to New Brommel, the old Festival Grounds are completely cleared out and only remain in the memories of those who were around before the festivals were shuffled around.
