To truly test your ability at self protection and the toughness of your scales, Gerix has sent you to face down a tough enemy that is found on the slopes of Amu'merras.

Toughness, youngling, that is the key to a dragon's survival. You have heard the phrase "thick as a Dragon's hide", yes? The ability to have a thick hide, and I don't mean that figuratively.
- I am ready to learn
Yes, you are quite enthusiastic, a commendable trait. As it happens, I am in need of certain rare items and you are in need of training. A fortuitous coincidence, wouldn't you agree?
- I don't understand
Do not worry, <player>, I was merely musing about fate. The best way to learn to become tougher is to face tough enemies. Therefore, I want you to travel to the high slopes of the volcano here above Kion and test yourself against the Malachite Golems that roam the slopes.
- Is that all?
Not quite. I am also in need of something from those very same golems - their cores. Gather me eight elemental cores from the malachite golems and return here to me. To reach the golems travel south past the lava flows, until you see the stone circle. Turn west into the forest and then eventually you will come to a path north that leads up the slopes. Above the mine you will find the golems we both seek.

Turn west into the forest until you find a path that leads north up the slope of the mountain. Above the mine shaft is where you will find the malachite golems.
