Disturbing rumors have been heard around Aughundell of a Lieutenant and its undead minions on the Battlefield. The Iron Guard is short-handed and needs your assistance to investigate these rumors and if they are true, to destroy this abomination.
Quest text[edit]
Jarthur tells you, Hail Gifted. The Iron Guard has need of your skills concerning the Withered Aegis and the nearby battlefield. Will you hear me out?
Jarthur tells you, Excellent. You see, I am the Captain of the Iron Guard and so it is my responsibility to keep a watchful eye over not only Aughundell but the surrounding lands. The battlefield east of the city has been quiet for more than a year. Until now.
Jarthur tells you, You see, rumors have reached me of a Lieutenant that may be attempting to rally the undead that wander the battlefield, perhaps even bring in more and attempt to assault the very city itself! But the Iron Guard is not what it once was, I am afraid. Our numbers have remained few, even to this day. The Siege of Aughundell and the years after were not kind to this city and its people.
Jarthur tells you, Now, this Lieutenant. While one undead commander is certainly no cause for alarm, they have a nasty tendency to rally troops to their side. I would ask that you scout the battlefield, in particular an area along the southern edge. You cannot mistake it for there are battlements and no small number of undead. If you spot this creature, kill it and return here to me. Axe High!

Jarthur tells you, Ah good, you have returned. Was your mission successful? There was indeed a lieutenant, was there? And you destroyed it? Excellent. You have done well and have served the Iron Guard and Brobbet with honor.
Steps[edit]
- Listen to Jarthur
- Scout the Aughundell Battlefield and Locate the Battlements of which Captain Jarthur spoke
- Triggers at 25864/25636(map), the crossroads leading towards Last Stand and Marble Quarry
- Kill the Lieutenant that is attempting to rally the troops
- Lieutenant Acphlegm is right up there at the fortress.
- Return to Aughundell and speak with Captain Jarthur
