Gormund the Bold needs some polish for his axe and it can only be found by killing Yew Treants.

Quest Text

Gormund tells you, 'Hey there, friend, as I said my axe is gettin' a mite antsy. I forged 'er myself goin' on three years ago. Some o' my best work, I say. She could use a bit o' touchin' up though. Usual grease isn't doin' the job no more.'

Gormund tells you, 'Well, of course you have'ta polish 'er! It has to be all shiny n' stuff or they'll think I'm slackin' on the job. You wouldn't want me ta' get in trouble now, would ya? Naw, I didn't think you did! Then maybe you'll go find me some polish? Yew Sap polish is the best stuff for me axe. I'd get it myself, but I can't leave me post.'

Gormund tells you, 'Yea, me polish is the sap of Yew Treants. You heard me right, friend. Just travel southeast from here till you find the forest. You can't miss it! Thanks, friend!'

You've looted enough yew sap. Now return to Aughundell and speak with Guard Gormund.

Gormund tells you, 'Oi there, friend. Ye've got the sap, but y'cant use it like that. Go talk to Bragha and have him turn it into polish fer me.'

Bragha tells you, 'Greetings, <name>. What can I do for you? Yew Sap Polish? Been talking to Gormund, have you? He's always polishing his axe. Course, I can't complain cause he keeps me in business. I've got some polish already made up for him, so just give me that sap and here you go. Axe High!'

Gormund tells you, 'Thanks mate! Me axe sure will 'preciate this. It's seen some hard times o'er the years. But this polish should keep 'er nice 'n shiny for many a day!'

Steps

• Loot some Yew Sap from the Yew Treants for Guard Gormund.
  • You have to loot five Yew Sap.
• Return to Aughundell with the Yew Sap and speak with Guard Gormund.
• Take the Yew Sap to Bragha in Aughundell.
• Return to Guard Gormund with the Yew Sap Polish.
