Quest text[edit]

Boltoro tells you, Do you wish to know more about our tribe, ungrel? Excellent! Knowledge is the beginning of respect. Show respect for our people and our ways, and I am sure we will get along fine.

Boltoro tells you, Some call us by other names, and some of those names are less flattering than others, but Vielo is what we call ourselves. We are descendants of a wandering tribe, entrusted by the Old Gods to be keepers of ancient wisdom.

Boltoro tells you, As a people, we usually do not spend much time in one place. In part, this is because those not of our tribe do not fully trust us, and we do not like to wear out our welcome. Then again, perhaps our transient nature is partially to blame for the locals' mistrust.

Boltoro tells you, We have visited many places and many planes, ungrel. We have met many people and many cultures. But the first time our group arrived at the Realm of Prime you call Istaria was in the year 20 A.R. of your calendar.

Boltoro tells you, Our group covered the Dalimond Peninsula, selling our goods to Gifted who were clever enough to find us. At this time, we brought to Istaria the knowledge to create items of better quality than people was used to craft, with the use of some resources like mithril.

Boltoro tells you, Customers complained our prices were high. But this knowledge was rare and we had a limited supply of formulas. It was difficult to get more. Rare resources don't come cheap, you know? Thus our prices weren't high: they were at the right value.

Boltoro tells you, Soon, we started to visit more places in Istaria like the Mahagra region. More people to trade with, more knowledge to gather. That's the life of the Vielo.

Boltoro tells you, After some time spent in Istaria, Pashalia, our fortune teller, got a vision. You have to know, ungrel, that some of our tribe are gifted with second sight and can see glimpses of the future. In this vision, the Withered Aegis was preparing a massive offensive against the Gifted using the split realities. With our lead, the Gifted built the Novo Machine to merge realities and reinforce their troops. But if you want to know more about this event, speak to Luciano on the rooftop.

Boltoro tells you, Yes, ungrel. We have been able to witness many events in Istaria, like the rise and the defeat of the powerful Mage-King Nazderon. Antoinette, on the rooftop, will tell you his story.

Boltoro tells you, When times became more quiet, another group of our tribe went to Istaria to sell more goods. Palko, who can be found at the entrance of this building, Artani and Dilaver, outside with the wagons, were among them. But this time, people asked them to stay in Bristugo to not have to track us in the field to trade. The stocks were sufficient to answer the growing demand without risk of part shortage.

Boltoro tells you, The nature of the Vielo is to not stay too long at the same place. So after some months, we left Istaria to find more items to trade and more pieces of wisdom. Only one of us stayed in Istaria, you have probably already met her: Nadia fell in love with this world and didn't want to leave. The Vielo cherish freedom above anything else, so she had our blessing to stay.

Boltoro tells you, And today we are back in Istaria with more treasures and more wisdom to trade. We felt this was a good time to return and this world may need the help of the Vielo again.

Boltoro tells you, We learned some adventurers started collecting artifacts all around Istaria. We are merchants and trading new artifacts for the ones we have already hoarded is what we like to do. But those adventurers were unorganized and had little ways to efficiently trade their findings only by themselves.

Boltoro tells you, Thus, we got the idea to create a guild to centralize the trade of artifacts in Istaria: customers only need to come to this place to find what they want or hire us for missions to answer to their specific needs. Most of the Artifact Hunters we met were happy to be helped in their activities..

Boltoro tells you, But we are the Vielo, a wandering tribe. How long will we stay here? I cannot say it. One day, we may leave without notice because it is our nature. Thank you for listening to our story, ungrel.
