Quest text[edit]

Talk to Hasera

Now that you have everything, you can finally undergo the preparation. The path has been travelled by every grandmaster since ancient times, and you too, shall travel the path.

Let us begin, <player>. I've filled your iron kettle with water. I'll set it on the fire a short while to boil the water.

Tea is an essential part of the tradition.

When the Aegis withered all the tea trees into dust and rot across the world, it put us into a terrible bind. Would we need to sacrifice tradition, and attempt the trial without the tea?

At first it was allowed. But there were problems.

The tea helped to pace those taking the trial - they were forced to wait to perform certain tasks and couldn't simply race around. Without the tea, many didn't prepare themselves long enough and suffered grave injuries in both the first and second half of the trial.

The final straw was when my teacher had a dream about upsetting our ancestors by disregarding traditions. He decreed that no more trials would be done until we could have the tea back.

I was one of the last to attempt the trial without tea, and one of the few to pass. It is now on me to return to the tradition, now that the trees have been brought back to the world. You are among the few in many years to be able to take this trial, <player>. It's an exciting time for both of us.

Looks like the water is ready

Game Feedback: Hasera carefully takes the kettle off the fire. She opens the box containing the vials of tea leaves, and prepares a serving for you with the Tea Set. It has a faint Rice aroma. You are handed one of the cups, and she prepares a cup for herself.

Please drink this with me.

Use Cup of Rice Infused Sencha Tea

Game Feedback: What an odd, yet strangely pleasing flavor. Who would have thought rice would go well in green tea?

Game Feedback: You feel more alert and refreshed.

Talk to Hasera

Our minds are at peace. Our focus skills can reach their maximum. I need to test you one more time before you can continue. You have beaten my best disciples; I have just one opponent left for you. Me. On guard, warrior of the fist!

Beat Hasera!

Game Feedback: Hasera is exhausted by the fight. Give her a moment to rest.

Game Feedback: You have failed to defeat Hasera. Practice makes perfect, try again!

Hasera mourns her student's death ...

Game Feedback: Hasera takes note of her student's mistakes...

Game Feedback: You have failed to defeat Hasera in a reasonable amount of time. Practice makes perfect, try again!

Give Hasera a moment to catch her breath (be patient)

Game Feedback: Hasera nods in approval. She wants to speak to you.
