It is time to show Hasera that your skills have improved. If you pass, your Sash will be dyed a new color.

Quest text[edit]

Welcome back <player>. I feel you are now ready to take the apprentice's trial.

Much like last time, I want you to step up to the training dummy and show me your technique. I want you to begin by showing me your basic moves. Approach the dummy and show me your moves until I tell you to stop.

Hasera says: "That's good. You can stop now."

You are doing well, <player>. Now I wish to see your kata technique that will test your ability to change your style in a fight. You have already experienced the Combat Trance style with your Initiate's trial. With this one, you attack your opponent agressively. But there is another fighting style, One with the Wind, that will be required for this trial. This style uses your passivity to fiercely counter-attack; it is more defensive and has its own set of abilities as Martial Defense or Knit Bones. You need to master to change styles as often as you need. Now, follow my instructions!

You have done well <player>. Now, show me how you've progressed in your ability to focus. Destroy this golem with a single blow! Are you ready?

Your ability to focus is improving nicely. I want to now judge your fighting abilities against one of my disciples. Ready? Fight!

That was convincing. There is a matter that we have been asked to help with. After your demonstration, I think you are the perfect individual to handle it.

Some individuals from Dalimond have requested aid in dealing with some ferocious wolves. Nipper and his pack live atop the Dalimond ridge. When they get hungry, they roam down the mountainside and attack livestock, travellers and wildlife alike. The largest issue however, is that Nipper has developed a taste that favors travellers.

Indeed, it is a terrible thing. Nipper needs to be dealt with as he grows bolder every hunt. If left to continue, he may choose to attack a town someday. You may also want to cull the packs' numbers as a precaution. Those beasts are very social and dangerous: you shouldn't go alone. The top of the ridge is a fairly cold place, so dress appropriately <player>. Good luck.

Hasera tells you, Welcome back. I received word that the wolves did not come down the mountain this day as a result of your actions. Please hand me your white sash.

Hasera tells you, I now declare you an apprentice. Wear your yellow sash with pride, <player>. Return to me again when you have practiced your techniques further.

Hasera takes your white sash. She dips the ends of the sash into a terracotta pot. When she lifts it from the pot, you see the ends have been turned yellow.
