Quest text[edit]

Oh, hello <player>, looks like you found some rosemary. I can show you how to prepare it in a bit, but right now I have to finish this cake. Well, it's not really a cake, it's more of a chocolate-covered meatloaf, but as far as dragons are concerned it's close enough. It's a surprise for a hatchling who's finishing the Rite of Passage tonight. If I can get it done, that is. This recipe is one my mother found when she was learning to decorate cakes. It's very old, probably from before the Vandus liberation, and part of it was missing. Probably burnt after the liberation, I think.

Well, a lot of dragons used to have human servants, especially cooks. Dragons love food as much as anyone, but they are terrible cooks, unless you want something charred. When they agreed to release their servants and sent everyone home, most of the cooks burned their recipes for draconic foods. The recipes were symbols of oppression to them, so I guess that's kind of understandable.

Unfortunately, because they did that, I have to fill in the missing parts of this recipe as best I can. No, the dragons didn't keep copies of the recipes; why would they? It's not like they could make anything with them.

Drat, it's just not holding together properly. I think the problem is that I'm not grinding the meat fine enough. It may have to be almost a pâté - Wait a minute! A pâté! That's it! That's what I've been doing wrong! It's not a giant lump of meatloaf with frosting on it, it's layers of pâté separated by chocolate frosting, just like a regular cake! Why didn't I think of that before? Well, never mind that.

Listen, could you do me a really big favor? I need an armored steel chest scale to use as a serving platter. Could you go find one for me? The armored version, in steel or steel and granite, which ever it actually is. Please find one for me and I'll make it worth your while.

This is perfect! The cake will look wonderful on this. Thank you so much! I just need you to do one more thing for me: take the cake to the vault in Dralk and ask Tiber to store it in the customer's vault until the party. It goes to vault 3263827 and the customer already approved it. I'll be right behind you with these sheet cakes. Then meet me back here and I'll get that rosemary recipe for you.

Deliver the cake to Tiber the Vaultkeeper in Dralk.

A deposit for 3263827? Yes, I have the authorization right - Ooh, something smells good! Is that a celebration cake? By Drulkar, it is! I haven't seen one of those in ages! I may just have to order one myself. Say, as soon as I get off duty. You should be sure to get a copy of the recipe for yourself. I think they are going to be very popular!

Thank you so much for your help, <player>! Here is the recipe for preparing rosemary that I promised you. While I was looking for it I ran across a recipe for roasted gruok with potatoes and rosemary and copied it down for you as well. I got it a few years ago from another one of the Gifted, a dragon named Deth. It's very tasty, as long as you cook it with a controlled fire and not a dragon's flame breath! Speaking of dragons, I want you to have a copy of the celebration cake recipe. I'm afraid I'll be swamped with orders if I keep it to myself! Thank you again for all your help!
