Quest text[edit]

Good, <player>, you have returned. I am in a hurry for other tasks await me, but I have completed reviewing the Tomes you recovered for information regarding the settlement on what is now known as the Dalimond Ridge. According to the Tomes the Ridge was once known as Drulkar's Claw because of its curved shape and deadly peaks.

But, I digress. The settlement, the name appears to have been lost, was home to several Dragons up until six centuries ago. It would appear that it was abandoned sometime around the early years of the Great Schism. This is not surprising, given events of the time. The Humans, long under the leadership of Dragonkind were growing restless, led by a young king known as Ashlander Vandus. Within the Dragon Council, however, there was growing strife... Malganival Lunus and Helian, the two great leaders of the Age, were split over how to address the growing restlessness of the Humans.

With all of the confusion and dispute, it is no surprise that the Dragons there chose to abandon it and return to the safety of Dralk. If open war had begun between Dragonkind and Humanity, the consequences for that settlement could have been dire. As it was, we Dragons bickered amongst ourselves and the Humans established their own kingdom long before we could decide on a course of action.

So there we have it. The ruin is nearly six centuries old and was abandoned around the time of Ashlander Vandus. What the Dragons there studied is not recorded in these Tomes, but it would appear to have involved magic of some sort, <player>.
