Scholars are not only able to make spell shards and spells, they can also make papyrus scrolls, a useful item for the Gifted in their fight against the Withered Aegis. Geleon the Wise is willing to teach you this skill.

Listen to Geleon the Wise Merrasat's Blessings on You, <player>. How can Geleon help you this fine day? You are here to learn, are you? Well, well. It is always good to see an aspiring Scholar on these sands and beneath Her Gaze. As luck has it I have something in mind... You have learned to make spells, yes? And no doubt you are becoming quite good at it. But, that is not all that Scholars can do... Oh no!
There is a plant known as Papyrus that grows near the water, <player>. From this plant we can create paper that can be imbued and then inscribed with runes! Once this process is complete the paper, scroll, is then imbued with the magical properties of a particular spell... such that if one reads it aloud, the spell is cast as if a Mage or Wizard or Healer cast it himself! Imagine the possibilities, <player>!
This is what I propose to teach you. First, you must learn to identify the Papyrus Plant. As I said, they grow near fresh water and usually in sandy regions. The best places to find the plant on Lesser Aradoth will be to the south near the Crystal Lakes. Go there and gather at least fifty stems from the Common Papyrus Plant. You will need your Harvest Knives to cut the stems of the plant.

Yes, this is good. These stems will do well, <player>. Now, the next step in preparing the stems is to cut and mash them into sheets. This is done using your Fabric Scissors and this Paper Press standing right over there. Take this formula for processing the Stems into Sheets and make five (5) Papyrus Sheets from the Stems you gathered.
