Shau grieves for the wife he loves and was forced to kill. He wishes to assist her in the afterlife by providing her with gifts of appeasement that she can give to Varrantoth to help sway his decision about her fate.
Quest text[edit]
The first of the ingredients is a root that grows along the outside of the wall of this Ruin called Tek amsin, but I think you call it licorice.

Good. I never thought it would grow here in the west, but it can be very flavorful when added to a brewed drink. Gather me six tubers of licorice, <player>. Remember, I have seen the plants growing along the base of the south and western walls of this Ruin.
You have gathered sufficient Licorice for Taiwen. Return to her in the Ruin.

Steps[edit]
- Listen to Taiwen
- Locate and gather six (6) units of licorice for Taiwen. Licorice can be found growing along the base of the south and western walls of the Ruin of Tazoon. You will need to use an Istarian Army Knife or Dragon Intuition ability if you don't have sufficient Foraging or Ingenuity skill
- Return to Taiwen within the Ruin of Tazoon with the licorice
