Shau grieves for the wife he loves and was forced to kill. He wishes to assist her in the afterlife by providing her with items of endurance to help her in her battles with Varrantoth and other Welger.
Quest text[edit]
Let us discuss what more we can do to honor Taur-el and help her in the afterlife, <player>. To battle against Varrantoth and even other Welger will require great endurance for the battles might last for hours, days or even years.
- Years?! What can we do for her now?
What is a year or a century to the dead, <player>? We shall provide her with offerings to feed her body and spirit and to slake her thirst. If you will help me collect and prepare the necessary ingredients then Taur-el will be well prepared for the lengthy fight ahead.
- What do we need to offer first?
If I was back at my home in the east I would have you gather a haunch of Silvertooth, a massive wolf with savagely long teeth that prowls the mountains near my home. Unfortunately they are not found here in the west so we will have to settle for one of the local varieties.
- There are jade wolves nearby
Yes, but many are quite puny and would not provide a meal of sufficient size or value for Taur-el. The last time I was out hunting for water I saw a large jade wolf at a distance that may serve us well. To the south and east near the cliffside I saw a Jade Ravager, easily twice as large as the regular wolves. Kill it for its haunch and return here!
Yes, that will work quite well. It is not nearly as large as a Silvertooth haunch would be, but it is still a more than sufficient offering for Taur-el.
Steps[edit]
- Discuss with Shau about assisting Taur-el in the afterlife
- Kill the Jade Ravager for a haunch of its meat. The wolf can be found south and east of Shau's camp along the cliffs.
- Return to Shau with the Jade Ravager Haunch
