Shau grieves for the wife he loves and was forced to kill. He wishes to assist her in the afterlife by providing her with items of endurance to help her in her battles with Varrantoth and other Welger.
Quest text[edit]
Together we have fed Taur-el's body and nourished her spirit, but now we must slake her thirst. Battle, as you know, can be thirsty work, <player>! However, regular water or even alcoholic drinks will not suffice.
- Why not?
She is in the afterlife, <player>! What she drinks must be of the highest purity. Back in the east there was a fountain in the temple with water fed by a pure mountain spring that many said had been blessed by Alyssa of the Wood in the early days.

Listen to Shau
The priests of the temple were silent on the matter. Whether she did or didn't, it was this water that we used to slake the thirst of the deceased. I do not know where you can obtain water of similar quality here in the west, but surely there are sources of it around. Use this vessel to gather it with.
Obtain four (4) units of Pure Water from the well at the Tower of Healing.

Return to Shau at his camp with the Pure Water. Be sure and bring Shau's Water Vessel as well; unequip it if not already done.

- Listen to Shau
- Obtain four (4) units of Pure Water from the well at the Tower of Healing.
- Return to Shau at his camp with the Pure Water. Be sure and bring Shau's Water Vessel as well; unequip it if not already done.
