Ryson Stormbringer, the Hero who sacrificed himself at the Battle of Tazoon, seems to be bound to you somehow. Together, you have uncovered a Withered Aegis plot to defile ancient tombs of the Saris on Lesser Aradoth. The plot seems to involve traitors within the citizens of Kion itself!
Quest text[edit]
Geleon tells you, <player>, I still cannot fathom anyone turning traitor to their own people. However, if anyone would know, it would be Marcus. He skirts the law as a fence and smuggler, but he is also a patriot and would never betray his people. See if he knows anything.
Marcus tells you, Treat you to some Wolf Nipple Chips, <player>? Freshly imported from New Trismus! No? What can I do for you then?
Marcus tells you, You are jesting, surely? *he lowers his voice* Agents of the Cabal here in Kion? My own people turning traitor... *he narrows his eyes* No... it couldn't be.
Marcus tells you, <player>, a week ago I was approached by an individual asking about items and if I could... procure them. Well, certainly I said I could, it is my business after all! I remember that he appeared unusually nervous, and was perspiring. A Saris perspiring beneath Merrasat's Gaze? It simply does not happen!
Marcus tells you, I thought it odd at the time, but brushed it off as overexertion or an illness of some sort. However, it is possible he was extremely nervous too. Nervous about buying items in town to sell to the Withered Aegis.
Marcus tells you, You are in luck, <player>! The items are nearby, they arrived just this morning and have not been picked up yet. Gallith my assistant is waiting with them to complete the sale. I may be many things, an opportunist, a profiteer, maybe even a crook, but I am no traitor!
Marcus tells you, If you hurry you can catch them in the act and interrogate the agents yourself. There's an island southeast of town called Spider Isle. It's a convenient spot for deals such as this. Go there and stop these agents!
Kendra tells you, You have caught the traitors? Good, very good. I will not inquire further about how you determined who they were, I am simply glad they have been dealt with.
Ryson tells you, Well done, Gifted. This will certainly slow down the completion of the ritual, but it won't stop it. There will be more that must be done first.
Steps[edit]
- Speak to Marcus the Pawnbroker about agents for the Cabal within Kion
- Apprehend the agents on Spider Isle
- Kill the Cabal Agents on Spider Isle. (Torval and Aluss)
- Return to Lady Kendra in Kion
- Speak with Ryson near the Shrine in Kion
