The risen spirits that haunt the battlefield must be studied further. In order to better understand their source and ability, Wintheria sends you back to The Battlefield to kill the Tainted Spirits and Enraged Revenants.
Quest Text[edit]
Wintheria tells you, Your report was detailed enough that it is clear something must be done. What is unclear to me is whether these are truly the risen spirits of those dragons who fought against the Aegis during the battle to defend Chiconis, or if they are being summoned to this field by another force. I don't like it, but the only choice we have is to have you destroy the spirits that are haunting here. Take note of their abilities, and report back to me. After slaying 10 Tainted Spirits and 10 Enraged Revenants, you should have enough of the information I need. Make careful notes on their tactics and abilities so that I can compare this information to spirits controlled by the Aegis. Do not neglect to also kill as many of the Risen Adepts as you encounter, as they may also be the key to what is happening. But what I really need to know is the abilities of the risen dragon-kind.
Wintheria tells you, Good, good. These notes confirm what I suspected. These are not currently Aegis controlled spirits. Obviously something or someone is raising them from the dead but they do not seem to be using those powers which are typical in Aegis controlled foes. This is both good news and bad, I suppose. Give me a moment to record your findings and we will discuss what I shall require of you next.
Steps[edit]
- Return to the Chiconis Battlefield and battle against the spirits there. Wintheria wants you to kill 10 Tainted Spirits and note their abilities.
- Battle against 10 of the Enraged Revenants on the Chiconis Battlefield, making notes on their tactics and abilities for Wintheria.
- Slay as many of the Risen Adepts as you can while studying the risen dragons.
- Return to Wintheria in Chiconis with your notes.
